IM Basketball Champs!!

Several members of the men's team won the NNU Intramural Basketball Championship last night, a 53-51 win in Double OT!  Congrats to Mike, Keynan, Connor, Jensen, Justin and Johnny from the 

team...as well as Jimmy and Bottles!  A sweet win, but even better...no sprained ankles for our players!

Women's team at the Cal Baptist Invitational

After rushing to the airport to make our 5:10 p.m. departure out of L.A. (only to find our flight delayed 2 hours!) and then sprinting to the subway at the Seattle airport to catch the connection...we have arrived home after a good weekend at the Cal Baptist Invitational.  The Victoria Club in Riverside, CA is a beautiful private golf club and we enjoyed our time there.  One of the definite perks of college golf is being able to play at some really quality golf clubs.

The weather was varied each day...hard rain during parts of the practice round, cloudy and cool but pretty nice on Monday and then very windy on Tuesday, made adjusting our play important each day.

Monday's scoring was consistent, but a few strokes higher than each player was looking for.  Tuesday was disappointing for us on the course, everyone felt they should have played better.  But we will turn our attention to our next event and work toward our goals at the Corban Invite next month.

Pebble Beach Qualifier

With the sun setting over the 117-yard, par-3 seventh hole, a shot that requires a well played wedge down the hill (maybe the only similarity between Pebble Beach and Centennial...but, hey it's one thing the same!) the Crusaders completed the first day of the Pebble Beach Qualifier, the second event in the First-Annual Crusader February Cup.

Groundhog Open is in the books!

The wind was really whipping for the second round, but the players battled to what would have been a team score of 5-over par 293...A great round in that weather.  

The weather settled down for the third round and allowed some scoring as we shot 11-under 277 as a team.  That was a nice effort that had all four counting scores under par.
