Today's Practice Drill: The Birdie Ladder

Here are the instructions for today's range practice...

The Birdie Ladder
Objective:  Building better distance control with our wedge(s).

1. Set up our range targets at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 yards.
2.  Take 10 balls and aim to land all 10 balls inside of the 10 yard target.
3.  Once you have completed this, with at least 5 of the 10 balls hitting the target, move to the 20 yard target.
4.  At 20 yards, the goal is the same, hit the target with at least 5 of the 10 shots.
5.  Then move to 30, 40 and 50, doing the same thing.
6.  After you complete the 50 yard target, work your way back down in reverse order, 40-30-20-10.  Just like you would climb up and down a ladder.

Here's the crew that posted 276 (L to R) Keynan (71), Ian (70), Justin (68), Jack (71), Mike (67)

The ladies team that crushed it with 296! (L to R) Carleigh (83), Brittney (75), Stephanie (79), Haley (70), Samantha (72).

Brittney posted a personal-best 75 this afternoon, which included a 1-under par 35 on the front nine!

Men's team at the SMU and WWU Invitationals

The men's team opened the fall season at the Saint Martin's Invitational and then the Western Washington Invitational.

A quick team shot from the 18th fairway at Olympia C.C.

Post-tourney team pic at the Olympia C.C. Clubhouse.

Not a bad pic of Seattle as we made our way from Olympia to Bellingham.

The weather on the trip was really good...except for the practice round at Bellingham C.C.  Oh well, if we are going to hold umbrellas all day, at least is was just the practice round.

The anticipation of Coconut Kenny's Hawaiian BBQ pulled-pork sandwiches motivated the guys during the practice round!  This is one of our favorite food stops all season.

Keynan in action at Bellingham...he finished T-5th and played very well this week.  Rounds of 70-71-72 for 213.

The final numbers for us.
